The Paperboy Cinema or a Movie ?

I caught Arbitrage with Richard Gere and Susan Sarandon this weekend.

I also watched the Paper Boy with an with, Zack Effron, Nicole Kidman, Mathew Mconahey, Scott Glen, John Cusak and others

The Paper Boy does not have a Hollywood happy ending, however . . . it illustrates the difference between  . .

Cinema or a Movie.

An Adam Sandler movie qualifies as Garbage

The Hangover or Bridesmaids are movies

The Hunger Games or the Avengers are Blockbusters

And The Paperboy and the like are "Cinema"

Cinema means, a story that may go nowhere, can be depressing, have fewer likable characters and almost never a happy ending.

I love Movies and Blockbusters and the occasional piece of Cinema is fine.

But these not the same thing and should not be judged as such
