TEN BEST TRILOGY'S ALL TIME

TODAY:  TEN BEST TRILOGY'S ALL TIME

Leading up to the Oscars there will be nothing but lists of the Best Movies posted here daily.

Feel free to post movies you think were missed of your own list.

TEN BEST TRILOGY'S OF ALL TIME

1)  The Matrix (1999), The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and The Matrix Revolutions (2003)
Yes the second and third movies are really one long movie, but they came out int he    same year and did not keep us waiting for 12 months.

2)  Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), Temple of Doom (1984) and Last Crusade (1989)
Just the first three.  Crystal skull and the new one (IJ5) are on their own.

3)  Alien (1979), Aliens (1986) and Alien 3 (1992)
The first three only.  Resurrection, AVP and AVPR are another thing altogether.  Prometheus however is a worthy prequel.

4)  Iron Man (2008), Iron Man 2 (2010) and Iron Man 3 (2013)
I have only seen the previews from Three, but I don't need to for this one to make the top ten.  May be number one int he future given the additional movies (Avengers).

5)  Die Hard (1988), Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995) and Live Free Die Hard (2007)
Ok, I left off Die hard 2, but this Trilogy doesn't need it.  #5 in the shoot for this spring.

6) Terminator (1984), Judgment Day (1991) and (rise of the Machines (2003)
Salvation (2009) can be included.  It doesn't help or hurt.  Maybe this should be higher?

7)  Star Wars (1977), Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983)
Just these three.  The later ones shall be grouped together (and don't make the list)

8)  Rocky (1976), Rocky 2 (1979) and Rocky 3 (1982)
These three make the list easy.  The next three maybe not so lets put them on their own.

9)  Pirates of the Caribbean Curse of the Black Pearl (2003), Dead Mans Chest (2006) and At Worlds End (2007)
Stranger Tides (2011) wasn't horrible, but it's not needed for this one to make the list.

10)  Oceans Eleven (2001), Oceans Twelve (2004) and Oceans Thirteen (2007)
Add in the 1960 Rat Pack original and it's number ten, without it Oceans slips off the list.

Honorable Mention: Godfather, Nolan's Batman, Burton's Batman, Eastwood's Dollars, Spider man, Toy Story, Evil Dead, Loaded Weapon, Back 2 the Future and Clerks.

**** Note Lord of the Rings sucked (Get  over it already)

Fell free to post yours . . .
